Programme enhancements

To further facilitate performance improvements, and give our PM’s the support and guidance needed, we developed the following enhancements to our RPM programme during 2007/8:

RPI Centres of Excellence

RPI Centres of Excellence
We recognise the many success stories from across our portfolio with regard RPI and believe a significant number of these can be adopted by other properties. It is clearly important to provide a platform to disseminate this knowledge, in order to allow all our PM’s to learn from each others experiences and share what they have learnt.

We have identified 15 properties as ‘RPI Centres of Excellence’ in 2008, based on their responsible property management achievements and the potential to replicate their initiatives in other properties. The RPI Centres of Excellence are classified into categories such as energy, waste, transport, and occupier engagement.

Transport
To further understand our wider impacts on the environment, we are constantly looking at ways to gather information about other impact areas. In mid 2008 we developed a transport fuel data collection tool for use by properties which have onsite transportation. We recognise this will apply to only our largest properties, and so we are investigating ways to measure the transport associated impacts at all our properties, and look at ways to reduce this.

Interactive Map
To assist our PM’s with easily identifying good practice from across our portfolio, we have enhanced our interactive map to include locations of our RPI Centres of Excellence, waste management facilities, Local Business Partnerships and other useful information which aids the dissemination of best practice knowledge.
