Mr. Smith joined Hermes in 2009 as a portfolio manager with primary coverage of
the global industrials sector. He joined from Fortis Investments where he was member
of the global equity team and fund manager for the industrials sector and global
small caps. Mr Smith began his career in 1995 with the Financial Times conducting
research on international companies. In 1998 he moved to Schroder Investment Management
where he worked as a research analyst up until 2003 when he joined Fortis Investments.
Mr. Smith is a CFA charterholder and holds a BSc degree from the University College
in London.
