The HFAM and HFAME teams
The Focus Fund model requires engagement with investee companies. To carry out successful shareholder engagement, our teams need a range of skills that are not typically found in fund management organisations. In addition to investment managers, the teams include senior professionals from a number of fields including business (several team members have been directors of pubic companies), strategic consultancy, audit, investment banking and corporate finance, law, institutional relations and corporate governance, PR and politics. Shareholder engagement is also resource intensive – HFAM and HFAME have at least one senior executive for every 5 stocks in the portfolio.
