Responsible Asset Management is one of the cornerstones upon which Hermes is built. An integral part of that is our commitment to high standards of corporate governance.

The Board
The Board of Directors currently comprises the Chairman and five other Non-Executive Directors, three of whom the Board has identified as independent, plus two Executive Directors.

The board meets formally on a regular basis to discharge its duties and is responsible for the group’s objectives and policies. The Board has also established standing committees to facilitate the smooth transaction of business. These include the Nomination Committee, the Remuneration Committee, the Audit Committee and the Risk & Compliance Committee. Each has detailed terms of reference which are reviewed and approved by the Board annually, and include authority to take independent professional advice, if necessary, at the company’s expense.

Executive Committee
The Hermes Executive Committee meets on a weekly basis, to action the strategic, business, product development initiatives and deal with the setting of budgetary and other targets for the business.
